"Italian-Inspired Dishes Prepared with Gluten-Sensitive Ingredients & Care"

Olive Garden Gluten-Sensitive Dining Notice

Our gluten-sensitive items are carefully selected and prepared without gluten-containing ingredients. However, please note that Olive Garden kitchens are not gluten-free environments.

Because items are handcrafted in shared kitchen spaces, there is always an inherent possibility of gluten cross-contact. Guests with celiac disease or severe wheat allergies should speak directly with a manager to ensure tailored care during meal prep.

Kitchen Standard Operating Procedures

Kitchen Safety & Preparation Guide

Learn how Olive Garden culinary teams take deliberate precautions when preparing gluten-sensitive requests.

Strict Standards
Gluten-free rotini pasta is never boiled in the same water as traditional semolina pasta. Culinary teams utilize a designated, sanitized boiling pasta pot with fresh water and dedicated pasta strainers/colanders to prevent starch cross-contamination.
When an order is flagged for gluten-sensitivity, kitchen staff wash hands, change gloves, and prepare sauces using dedicated stainless-steel ladles and sanitized sauce pans to ensure no trace crumbs or bread contact occurs.
Our signature garden salad is tossed in a brand-new sanitized wooden or stainless bowl without croutons. Standard breadsticks are never placed on or beside the gluten-sensitive guest's dish or plate.
Gluten-sensitive entrees receive physical allergy identifier tags upon plating. A culinary manager or supervisor oversees dish assembly from prep to table delivery to maintain maximum diligence.
